Spring is upon us! Enjoy the beauty of the season while raising money for breast cancer awareness with the annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure at Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers, Arkansas.
Join Skaggs Foundation and Cox Medical Center Branson as they Race for the Cure on April 27. This event features a 5K or 10K competitive run, 5K Family Fun Walk, Sleep in for the Cure, and much more, all to benefit our local women in need of breast care services.
The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is the world’s largest and most successful education and fundraising event for breast cancer ever created. The series of runs and fitness walks raise significant funds and awareness for the breast cancer movement, celebrates breast cancer survivorship and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease.
The Susan G. Komen Ozark Affiliate supports Skaggs Foundation and Cox Medical Center Branson through a grant designated for diagnostic services and treatments. You can join the Skaggs Foundation Team by going to CoxHealth.com/Branson.
Heather Zoromski, who is helping coordinate the foundation’s participation in the Race for the Cure, says “We are so excited to participate again this year. It is a great event for an even greater cause, and Skaggs Foundation is honored to take part in this event. It is a great way to support the Susan G. Komen foundation locally and nationally. Recognizing survivors is so inspiring, and honoring those who have lost their battle is a reminder to keeping fighting to find a cure.”
Since it started in 1983, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure has grown from one race with 800 people in Dallas to a global series of more than 140 races with 1.6 million people participating on four continents. Taking part in this cause, not only helps with research for cures for breast cancer, it also help the Susan G. Komen Ozark affiliate local office continue to provide funding to local organizations serving women in the Branson/Tri-Lakes area.
