At spring graduation, the students of Missouri State School of Anesthesia named Cox Medical Center Branson Most Excellent Clinical Site. “In order to receive this award the students must feel that they have been allotted the time and care to fully understand what they have been taught,” explained Monika Feeney, DNAP, MS, CRNA, Program Director, Missouri State School of Anesthesia. “Dr. Blackshear, Cox Branson, was gracious to the students and many looked to him as a mentor.”
Missouri State School of Anesthesia has 20 established clinical sites for students studying to become Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA). From these 20 clinical sites, the students chose to nominate and award Cox Medical Center Branson for their safe and excellent anesthesia care.
“The anesthesia and surgery departments are welcoming and kind to our students as well as providing a great learning experience from the diverse cases that are done at the hospital,” Dr. Feeney said. “I cannot say enough good about Cox Branson. They go the extra mile to teach our students and take time to make sure they understand.”
The Missouri State School of Anesthesia has been around for 60 years, starting as a certification program and growing to a Master’s program through Missouri State University.
