John Duff, MD
Dr. John Duff is senior vice president and chief hospital officer for the CoxHealth enterprise. He joined CoxHealth in 1993 as an employed physician, and later served the organization as medical director of Regional Services, chief information officer and administrator of Cox North. He accepted his current position in January 2012.
In this role, Dr. Duff works with the CoxHealth executive team overseeing the hospital and home care group. This group provides for patient care in both the home and hospital settings, and helps guide the development of future health care workers. It includes the three Springfield hospitals, Cox Monett Hospital, Oxford Home Care, Home Parenteral Services and Cox College.
Dr. Duff attended medical school at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a fellow in the American College of Physicians and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also active in the community, serving on the board of the Ozarks Regional YMCA and on that group’s executive and finance committees. Additionally, Dr. Duff is board president and a member of the executive committee of the Urban Districts Alliance.
