Abs Extreme: This 45 minute class is designed to train and strengthen the entire core of the body. A mix of light cardio and balance exercises will be included. All levels are welcome.
Boot Camp: Intensity level is high. Boot camp is a group exercise class that mixes traditional callisthenic and body weight exercises with interval training and strength training. Participants will utilize the track, basketball court, and other spaces in or around the Rec Plex.
Cardio and Tone: Uses a combination of cardio techniques to help burn calories and shed body fat. Class may incorporate some dance choreography. Classes include toning and strengthening exercises for the core.
“Driven”: Designed to challenge the body by combining cardio & plyometric drills, utilizing dumbbell’s, the body bar, step & track workouts. A high intensity class, yet allowing you to work at your own fitness level to tone & shape the body in all target areas.
Fitness Express: Intensity is medium. Class is led by CoxHealth fitness attendants and personal trainers. This class is 30-40 minutes long and focuses on total body type workouts. Class will utilize machine equipment, free weights, and body weight exercises inside the gym area.
Senior Tone & Core: Intensity is low-medium. Participants will perform exercises on the floor that aim to improve muscular and core strength. Class will also do stretching from the floor. For our more advanced seniors.
Silver Sneakers®: Intensity level is low. Senior Class that works on cardio, strength training and resistance bands. Good for someone with back, knee, or health issues. Chairs are used for sitting at times to perform exercises.
Spin®: Intensity level is high. It is an exciting workout that challenges your individual fitness level in a fun, group atmosphere. Learn cycling techniques to increase efficiency in pedal stroke and speed while improving your cardiovascular endurance and strength.
Step Aerobics: Intensity is medium. Aerobic exercises performed by stepping up onto and down from a stepping block while the instructor cues out the choreography. This class is designed to specifically tone the hips, thi’s, abdominals, and buttocks while improving participant’s cardiovascular endurance.
Weights w/Cardio: Intensity is medium. Full body weight routine accompanied with cardio type intervals. Class will also focus on core muscles (abs, oblique, and lower back).
Weight Training and abs: Intensity is medium. It is a full body strength workout using dumbbells and resistant bands. Class will perform total body routine and focus on core muscles (abs, oblique, and lower back).
Yoga: Pam’s yoga class are intermediate level, with modified poses for beginning students, and offers more challenging moves and poses for more advanced students. Pam believes in incorporating core work into her yoga classes to help improve core strength and stability.
Zumba®: Intensity level is low to medium. Zumba® combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that allow the Zumba® participants to dance away their worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be FUN!!!
