Phillip Loyd, a local businessman, was elected to serve as Chairman of the Cox Medical Center Branson Board of Directors in the fall of 2014. His dedication and service to CoxHealth extends back more than a quarter of a century.
Phillip was asked to serve as a Trustee to Skaggs Community Hospital Association in 1987 and was elected to the Board of Directors in 1994. During his time on the board he served as Vice Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer and he Chairman from 2001 to 2003. He was an integral part of the team that worked to bring Skaggs together with CoxHealth during 2012, creating Cox Medical Center Branson. Phillip joined the Springfield CoxHealth Board of Directors and Executive Committee in 2013 after the merger, and continues his service on that board and committee today.
Phillip graduated from Drury University with a B.S. in Business Administration and Economics and is now President of his family’s business entities – Loyd’s Electric Supply, Inc., Lighthouse Gallery, and Theatrical Lighting Concepts.
In addition to the hospital boards, he is on the Skaggs Foundation Board and has served as chairman, Taney County Airport Board, City of Branson Planning & Zoning Board, and is an active Committee and Board Member of IMARK, a national electrical distributor industry group. Furthermore, he is a member of the Branson Regional Economic Development Association (BREDA), and the Ozark Mountain Family YMCA. Phillip was the former President of Tantone Industries, Inc. and City of Branson Alderman.
