Often the first step in determining if additional cardiac tests are needed, the CoxHealth Cardiac Diagnostics department performs stress testing, chemical and nuclear stress testing, stress echocardiography and some circulatory flow studies to determine how blood flow is affected by exercise.
This area is staffed with advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) trained registered nurses who prepare the patient and assist the physician with all components of the procedures performed.
