Athletic Training Outreach Program

Skaggs Performance and Sports Medicine offers Athletic Training Outreach to area high schools and area performers. This coverage includes one to five visits per week, depending on contracted coverage. During these visits, a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) is readily available for the immediate care, assessment and/or treatment of athletic injuries.
The ATC also focuses on educating the performer, athlete, coaching staffs, parents, and administration on the importance of injury prevention and the treatment of performance and athletic injuries. If an injury requires further evaluation, prompt access to Skaggs Othopedic Associates is offered.

Sports medicine/athletic trainer treatments require a physician referral. However, sport injury evaluations may be initiated by a self-referral, a coach, family member or others.
