Cox Medical Center Branson has the Gold Seal of ApprovalTM from the Joint Commission as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center.

CoxHealth has developed treatment plans and protocols which will give the best outcome from everyone who lives in Stone and Taney counties, and the surrounding area.

The stroke team includes a neurologist on call 24 hours a day, plus medical professionals who see the patient from the emergency room, through their hospital stay to inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient care, including physical therapy.

The Joint Commission's Primary Stroke Center Certification is based on the recommendations for primary stroke centers published by the Brain Attack Coalition and the American Stroke Association's statements/guidelines for stroke care.
